Hopkinsville, KY (April 16, 2008) – Up and coming western Kentucky-based band, Special D is pleased to announce the release of its national debut,Over and Over, available now through iTunes, CD Baby and the band’s website. To promote the album, the foursome will be embarking on an extensive festival tour this summer.
With Ainslee Grosser (MuteMath, Rebecca St. James, Rush of Fools) at the production helm, the talented alt-rockers have been garnering a great response for Over and Over, including a 4 ½ star review in April’s CCM Magazine and a coveted spot on the March 2008 Journal of Student Ministries’ list of “Ten Artists Impacting Your Youth”, alongside the likes of Hawk Nelson, Anberlin, Flyleaf and The Afters.
“As a band primarily known for our energetic live show, we finally feel like we have an album that truly reflects who we are,” says Craig Felker, Special D frontman.
Hailing from Hopkinsville and Paducah, Kentucky, Felker (lead vocals), Jason Killebrew (drums), L.J. The band has also shared the stage with renowned artists such as Jars of Clay, Third Day, TobyMac, Family Force 5, Skillet, Jason Morant, and DecembeRadio to name a few. The troupe will be heading out on the road in support of Over and Over, making stops on the festival circuit again this summer including, Ichthus, in their home state of Kentucky, AtlantaFest, Kingdom Bound, Life Fest, Rock the Light, Crossover Festival, Newsong, Unity Festival and Rock the Universe in Orlando, FL.
